The purpose of the Meeting is:

Accept Resignation of Bill Yates as the Representative from the Township to the Ohio Power Siting Board in regards to Case # 24-0495-EL-BGN -Easter Cottontail Solar.

Appoint Substitute Representative to the OPSB Per ORC 4906.021(C)(1)(a).

Engage Reminger LLP, Patrick Kasson and Robert West, Attorney’s,  as legal Counsel to represent the Township with Case #24-0495-EL-BGN Eastern Cottontail Solar to Petition for Leave to Intervener.

Walnut Township Trustees will sell, by internet auction, the following equipment:

• 1995 Simon-Duplex Fire Engine

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL UNNEEDED, OBSOLETE, OR UNFIT FOR USE TOWNSHIP PERSONAL PROPERTY BY INTERNET AUCTION

Be advised that on the 3rd day of December 2024, the Board of Trustees of Walnut Township adopted Resolution # 30-2024 expressing its intent to sell unneeded, obsolete or unfit for use Township personal property by internet auction. The Township shall contract with GovDeals, Inc. to act as its representative for the purpose of disposing of said property through the www.GOVDEALS.com website. All such property shall be sold on an “As-Is, Where-Is” basis. All items will be available to the public on GOVDEALS.com for a minimum of ten (10) days. 

This notice and resolutions will be posted on the Walnut Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, webpage (www.walnuttownship.com) and a complete copy of Resolution # 30-2024 will be available for inspection at the Township office at 11420 Millersport Rd NE, Millersport Ohio 43046 during normal business hours.

The recurring monthly meeting of the Walnut Township Trustees is changing to the third Wednesday of the month, beginning January 2025. Therefore the next Trustees meeting will be on Weds., January 15, 2025 at 7:00 PM. The Events calendar on the website has been updated to reflect this change.
